There's a persistent myth that therapy means lying on a couch free-associating until something shifts. The version I practice is different: collaborative, focused, and built around a clear plan that we revise as we learn. Many of my clients have spent years on edge, braced for a threat that never quite arrives. Others are caught in obsessive-compulsive cycles, where obeying the doubt only makes it louder, and together we practice a different way of answering it. My approach is values-based, which keeps the work pointed at the life you want rather than the fear of the week. I aim to make our first conversation the easiest part of your week. I also offer therapy in American Sign Language (ASL), and Deaf clients are always welcome. I began in crisis services, where I learned to stay steady while everything around me moved fast. That steadiness comes with me into every session. If you're weighing whether to reach out, consider this your quiet invitation.
