
There is a myth that therapy is a luxury for people whose lives are basically fine and who just want to talk about their feelings. In my experience it is far more often the last practical option for someone who has already tried everything else. The adults I work with are usually deeply depleted and quietly ashamed of it, convinced that everyone else manages the same load without cracking. We slow things down enough to see the whole picture, then rebuild your reserves in a way that holds up on a normal Tuesday. I am less interested in grand insights than in you having more left in the tank by month's end. For years I practiced alongside other clinicians before going solo, and that season left me with a real respect for how differently people carry the same weight.
