Our first meeting is mostly orientation. I explain how the work is sequenced, ask what you want to be different, and answer whatever questions you have about the process, because people generally arrive with more questions about the method than about themselves and rarely feel entitled to ask them. You are entitled to ask them. Post-traumatic treatment should never be a mystery to the person receiving it. I would rather spend the first hour making sure you understand what you would be undertaking than getting a head start on material you are not ready for. Informed and unhurried beats fast every time in this particular area. I learned the job in school and university counseling, where explaining things clearly to skeptical people was most of the job. It remains most of the job. If you would like your questions answered before committing, get in touch.
