
A first meeting with me is closer to an honest conversation than an evaluation. There is no long questionnaire to get through, no correct way to sit, and no expectation that you arrive with your thoughts already organized. Most of the adults I see feel depressed in a way that hides in plain sight, the sort you can carry to work and to dinner without anyone noticing. What we do together is get underneath the surface competence and figure out what has gone quiet in you and why. Because I deliberately see only a handful of people at a time, I actually remember the texture of your life from week to week, and you never have to reintroduce yourself. We build real continuity, and that continuity is part of what heals. Talking with me tends to feel more like an unforced exchange than a formal appointment, though I always keep us moving toward something useful.
