
Most people expect a first meeting to feel like a medical intake, all forms and diagnoses and stiff questions. Mine feels more like sitting down across from someone who is really interested and in no particular hurry. You talk, I follow, and you will leave knowing whether we are a fit. You do not have to look visibly depressed for what you feel to deserve attention. Plenty of the people I work with are productive, even upbeat in public, while privately scraping the bottom of the tank. We get honest about what is really running under the performance, and we work, piece by piece, toward days that feel like yours again. I found my way into this profession from the other chair, as a client who needed help and got it, and I have never once forgotten how that felt.
