
The one thing I want every new client to know is that burnout is not cured by a holiday. People take the week, come back, and feel the same by Wednesday, then conclude something is wrong with them personally. Nothing is wrong with them personally. What is wrong is a set of conditions that resumed the moment they returned, and conditions are what we work on. Some of that is about what you can actually change at work, some is about what you have been telling yourself about your obligations, and some is about recovering the parts of your life that got quietly deleted. We also look at what you have stopped expecting from your own life without ever deciding to. I spent years in nonprofit and social-work adjacent roles, where this was practically an occupational hazard and nobody ever named it. I name it. You are not obliged to keep performing enthusiasm.
