The first hour is quieter and more practical than most people brace for. There is no requirement to produce anything difficult, and I will spend a good portion of it explaining how this actually works so that you are not agreeing to something unspecified. That explanation matters. Post-traumatic treatment has stages, and knowing which stage you are in and what comes next removes a substantial amount of the apprehension people carry into it. I would rather you left the first session well informed than emotionally wrung out. Nothing about the process should be a surprise to you at any point. My caseload is deliberately small, which means I have time to explain things properly and to remember where we left off. Both matter more here than in most work I do. If you want to know what you would be agreeing to, get in touch.
