Reaching out to a stranger about your own life is a really awkward thing to do, and I would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. If you have started and deleted a first message more than once, you are in good company. Much of my work centers on professional identity: who you are once the title on your badge stops matching the person you have quietly turned into. We look honestly at what first drew you to your field, what curdled along the way, and what a truer version of your working life might ask of you. None of it requires a dramatic exit; sometimes the change is internal long before it is anything else. I did some of my earliest work in crisis services, and what stayed with me was how to keep a level head while someone else's world was tilting. That steadiness is what I try to offer here, minus the drama. Whenever you feel ready, even if you are not sure what to say yet, send a note.
