
There is a moment I see often in this room: a client stops mid-sentence, takes a breath, and finally says the thing they were sure they would never say out loud. That moment is why I left research for the therapy room. The data was interesting, but people turned out to be better. I work with adults who live on edge, braced for a blow that never quite lands but never quite leaves either. Together we slow things down enough to see what all that bracing has been protecting. As a gay non-binary therapist, I know some of it comes from moving through a world that keeps you guessing. Gender diverse clients are at the heart of my practice, and nobody here needs to bring a glossary. Talking with me feels more like an actual conversation than a clinical interview.
