You may be here because the people closest to you have started to notice, and you have run out of explanations that satisfy them or you. Being asked directly is often what finally prompts someone to make an appointment. That is a perfectly good reason to come. Trauma affects the people around you as well, usually through withdrawal, a short temper, or an unwillingness to explain. Most of my clients are more troubled by that effect than by their own symptoms. We work on it explicitly. Getting some of yourself back to the people who noticed is often the outcome that matters most. I came to this from a wholly different line of work, and I still think in terms of what a change actually does for the people around someone. If you were asked directly, get in touch. Getting some of yourself back is often the point.
