
A first session with me feels less like an exam and more like a long exhale. You talk, I ask a few honest questions, and together we sketch what has been weighing on you. Nobody needs a rehearsed speech to begin. I came to this profession as a client first, so I remember what it costs to say certain things out loud. If you have felt on edge for so long that tense seems normal, that is a signal worth taking seriously. The pressures of holding a job, a household, and everyone's expectations will wear anyone down eventually. My training is cognitive behavioral, and I use it to help you catch unhelpful thoughts while they are still small. You will leave with skills you can use the same week, not someday. I never assume comfort; I try to earn it early and keep earning it. Change tends to arrive in small, steady increments, and we will notice each one together.
