Our first hour is mostly information gathering, and it is far less intense than people brace for. You describe the thing, I ask when it started and what it currently costs you, and together we sketch what a sequence might look like. Nobody goes near the feared object on day one, and you will not be asked to do anything at all in that first conversation. By the end you will understand why a phobia persists despite your best efforts, which is usually the first really useful thing anyone has told you about it. It also tends to explain why the advice you have been given so far did not help. Understanding is not the cure, but it makes the cure make sense. I hold a small caseload deliberately so that I can keep momentum with each person rather than seeing everyone once a month. Momentum matters here more than almost anywhere else, and the first steps are smaller than people imagine. If you are ready, get in touch.
