I will say this plainly: telling a stranger about this is humiliating in a way that most difficulties are not. People delay for months, partly from shame and partly because saying it out loud makes it undeniably real. Nothing about it will be treated as scandalous in here. Infidelity is one of the most common reasons people seek help and one of the least discussed openly, which is exactly why it feels so isolating when it happens to you. We deal with it as a serious problem with known dynamics rather than as a moral spectacle, and that alone tends to make the first conversation easier than expected. I worked in group settings for years before going solo, and the most useful thing anyone ever heard in that room was that they were not the only one. If shame has been keeping you from asking for help, that is the most ordinary reason there is.
