Our first conversation is practical and fairly unhurried. You describe what has changed, what it has disrupted, and what you would like to be different, and I ask a lot of specific questions because the specifics are usually where the difficulty actually sits. I will not require you to have a coherent narrative. Major life changes rarely arrive with a tidy explanation attached, and assembling one is often something we do together over several sessions rather than a prerequisite for starting at all. By the end of the hour you will know what I think would be useful to work on, and whether that matches what you had in mind. I keep a small caseload deliberately, which means I remember your particular circumstances rather than a general category you resemble. In this work the particulars are everything. If you want a practical first conversation, get in touch.
