For folks returning to therapy after a break, or who have had therapy before and want a different fit this time, we'll start by figuring out what worked and what didn't last time. That history is useful, not baggage. Many of my clients describe feeling lonely, feeling alone, or feeling isolated even when they're surrounded by people. Therapy can be one of the first places where being fully seen becomes possible, and that often loosens something on its own. I draw on evidence-based modalities, but I'm not married to any single framework. The best therapy meets you where you are, and that means staying flexible about what tools we reach for as the work unfolds. If this is your first time in therapy, or you've been considering therapy for a while and finally feel ready, I want you to know there's no right way to do this. We'll go at your pace, and I'll explain anything that feels opaque about how the process works.
