
Before anything else, there is something worth saying: you are not your worst moment. You are the person who showed up afterward, asking how to be different. Explosive anger looks like power from the outside, but from the inside it mostly feels like losing, and my clients usually arrive carrying more shame than they can name. Shame turns out to be terrible fuel for change, so we set it down first. The men I work with want what everyone wants: to be someone their family doesn't brace against. Reframing is the tool I trust most, because events rarely change but the stories we build around them can. I grew up in a family of caregivers, and I learned that steadiness is its own kind of love. You'll get no sugarcoating here, just the truth offered with care.
