For folks returning to therapy after a break, or who have had therapy before and want a different fit this time, we'll start by figuring out what worked and what didn't last time. That history is useful, not baggage. My work is rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My job is to help you see patterns you might be too close to notice, ask questions that haven't been asked, and walk alongside you while you do the harder parts. Therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation, not an interrogation. I aim to make our sessions feel collaborative and grounded, with room for whatever you bring through the door that day. For people who are recently widowed, or who are carrying a more recent loss, therapy can be a space where the grief gets to be exactly as big as it is. There's no timeline I'm going to impose on that.
