
I work with adults who are done white-knuckling their way through the week and are ready to try something that actually helps. If your own coping strategies have started wearing you out, we will get along fine. I spent several years in administration, missed the real work terribly, and came back to the room with fresh gratitude and full batteries. When clients arrive anxious, we hunt for the specific gears that keep the machine spinning, because vague problems are unsolvable and specific ones are not. When someone has been depressed for a long while, I hold the optimism for both of us until they can take a share of it. Reframing is a favorite part of my work: the moment a fixed story becomes a question with better answers. I am non-binary, and my practice is a place where every client gets to be fully themselves from the first minute. I offer sessions in Mandarin and in English. Bring your skepticism if you need it; hope is contagious in this room, and I keep a large supply.
