The one thing I would tell every new client is that you are allowed to want the old arrangement back, even if you would not actually return to it. People treat that wish as evidence of a mistake and it is nothing of the sort. Both can coexist. A transition often involves missing something you were right to leave, and the inability to hold those two facts together is what keeps people stuck arguing with themselves for months on end. We let them coexist in here. What follows is usually a much quicker settling than anybody expected. Crisis services is where I learned to stay steady, and one thing it showed me is that contradictory feelings are the norm rather than a warning sign. If you miss something you chose to leave, that is ordinary. Contradiction is not a warning sign in here. You are allowed to hold both at once.
