People assume therapy means lying on a couch while a silent stranger takes notes. In my room it is a collaboration: two adults thinking hard about your life, out loud, together. I spent years running therapy groups before opening a solo practice, and groups showed me how universal our most private fears really are. My focus now is anxiety, especially the kind that hums beneath a busy, outwardly successful life. Much of my work also lives within women's issues, particularly the quiet cost of being everything to everyone. I work steadily to earn the trust this subject requires. As a Jewish therapist, I come from a tradition of asking hard questions and staying for the answers, and clients of every background tell me they feel that in the work. With me you can expect steadiness: no shock tactics, no false cheer, just consistent and honest attention. Change tends to arrive quietly when the conditions are right. If you are considering therapy, I am glad to talk first and let you decide.
