
The first session is slower than most people expect. No rapid-fire questions, no rush to label anything. You talk about what matters, I ask about what I notice, and we let the hour take its shape. Anxiety rarely announces itself politely. It shows up as a racing mind at two in the morning, a jaw that will not unclench, a calendar that somehow keeps filling. My female clients often notice their own needs last, after everyone else has been looked after, and part of our work is reversing that order. I take seriously how differently the world weighs on women. Sessions are also available in Korean. I spent several years in administration before returning to clinical work, and the return confirmed what I had missed: the privilege of sitting with one person at a time.
