Something I have learned over many years is that eating struggles are almost never really about food. They are almost always about control, safety, or the quiet question of whether you are allowed to take up space. The adults I see are exhausted by a running commentary about food and body that never lets up, from the first coffee to the last look in the mirror. We turn the volume down on that commentary and make eating an ordinary part of a life again instead of its main event. I stepped away into administrative work for a stretch, and returning to the room reminded me why it mattered to me in the first place. I tend to be thoughtful and unhurried, more interested in understanding you than in fixing you quickly. You set the pace, and I keep us honest. If you would like to begin, reach out whenever it feels possible.
