I believe therapy works when it is specific, honest, and aimed at something you actually care about. Spiraling thoughts respond to a plan, not to platitudes, and a plan is what we will build. My practice centers on anxiety and on compulsions: the checking, the counting, the mental reviewing that quietly eats your evenings. Sessions with me are structured; we set an agenda, work it, and end with something concrete to try before we next meet. I practice acceptance and commitment therapy, which is less about deleting thoughts and more about loosening their grip so your values can steer. I keep things plain: no jargon, no mystique, just methodical work that adds up. Nearly everyone who calls me was sent by someone I've already worked with, and I've built my practice slowly on that kind of trust. I'd rather do unglamorous work that holds than impressive work that doesn't. If my approach sounds like a fit, get in touch; the first conversation is just a conversation.
