
I believe therapy works when it is honest, specific, and aimed at something that really matters to you. Sympathy alone never got anyone their life back. Much of my work is with adults whose worry has quietly taken over the calendar. Often that worry travels with compulsions, the repeating and reassurance-seeking that promises relief and never quite delivers it. I practice acceptance and commitment therapy, which builds your ability to make room for uncomfortable thoughts while still moving toward the life you want. Our sessions are structured: we set an agenda, we practice, and we review what changed. I find some people simply speak more freely with a woman, and I am glad to be that person. I keep a deliberately small caseload because I want to know my clients well, not just their symptoms. Expect plain language, honest answers, and zero jargon.
