I will be straightforward about this: reaching out to a therapist might be the hardest email you write all year. If it took you weeks to get this far, you are in very good company. I ran therapy groups for years before going solo, and I still carry that energy: sessions with me are lively, engaged, and full of momentum. I work with adults who are thoroughly burned out and finished pretending otherwise. I also sit with people carrying a heaviness they cannot quite explain to anyone around them. You do not need to justify how you feel here; naming it is enough to begin. I lead with a validating stance, because I have watched what people become once they stop arguing with their own feelings. I know how much energy it takes to keep seeming fine. Grounding practices help settle the body while the deeper work unfolds. So send the hard email. I will take it from there.
