
I believe therapy works when you stop performing and start telling the truth, including the unflattering parts. That is the whole method, and it is both harder and simpler than it sounds. I found this work by sitting on the client's side of the room first, and I have never forgotten what a good therapist made possible for me. My practice focuses on people who have quietly lost their spark, still functioning but feeling less and less. We look plainly at the exhaustion underneath all that competence and decide together what needs to change. No scripts, no pep talks, just honest company and a clear eye. I learned early that being believed matters as much as being advised. I will meet you where you are, at whatever pace is truthful for you.
