Our first conversation is practical. You tell me how the current arrangement works, where it breaks down, and what a bad week looks like, and I ask a lot of specific questions about logistics because that is usually where the difficulty actually lives. I will not ask you to be fair about the other adult. Co-parenting conversations often start with a lot of accumulated grievance, and there is no requirement to present a balanced account before we can begin. We can be honest first and strategic afterwards, which is generally the right order to do it in. My practice grew almost entirely through recommendation, which in this area I take to mean that people did not feel judged in the room. That is the standard. If you need somewhere to be unbalanced for an hour, get in touch. Nothing said in that first hour commits you to any particular course of action.
