Most people write to me on the day a private routine finally costs them something they cannot get back: a flight, a deadline, an evening with someone they love. That is usually the tipping point, not the problem itself. By then the rituals have their own schedule, and the day has been quietly rearranged to accommodate them. We start by getting honest about how much time and negotiation they actually cost, without any of the flinching that usually comes with saying it out loud. Then we begin reclaiming that time in increments small enough to hold. I started out in research and left it because I wanted the room rather than the data set. What I kept was a habit of measuring things, which turns out to matter a lot here. If you are ready to stop organizing your life around this, write to me and we can begin.
