
People assume you need a dramatic reason to see a therapist. You do not. Ordinary life, carried for enough years without support, is reason enough. My first job was in crisis services, where the alarms were literal, and it made me durably calm in the face of other people's worst moments. A racing mind at bedtime is one of the most common things clients bring me, and one of the most fixable. If you are overloaded, we will look at both the load and the way you have been carrying it. My toolkit comes from CBT, proven methods for changing how thoughts and behavior reinforce each other. I use worksheets, and I promise they feel less like school and more like a map you fill in about your own mind. I am gender expansive, which in practice means everyone gets to show up whole here.
