
There is a moment I watch for in every first session: the small exhale when someone realizes they do not have to perform here. Most of my clients have been performing for a very long time. I help adults worn down by overthinking, the kind that replays every conversation and pre-writes every disaster. I also see people whose days have gone joyless, where everything functions and nothing feels like anything. My methods are cognitive-behavioral: we map the loops, test the predictions your mind keeps making, and gather real evidence you can stand on. I think of therapy as a craft I am still refining, and I mean that sincerely; every person I work with makes me better at this. People say sessions with me feel like sitting with someone who is fully on their side and still willing to be honest. I know how much courage it takes to let someone new into your inner world.
