I work with a lot of people in the middle of meaningful change. Whether you've recently had a baby, started a new job, or recently retired, those transitions often surface things that were quietly waiting in the background. For people who are recently widowed, or who are carrying a more recent loss, therapy can be a space where the grief gets to be exactly as big as it is. There's no timeline I'm going to impose on that. Therapy is often the first place people get to admit they're feeling confused or feeling unmotivated in ways they can't explain to friends or family. I'll meet that without judgment, and we'll work to make sense of it together. If this is your first time in therapy, or you've been considering therapy for a while and finally feel ready, I want you to know there's no right way to do this. We'll go at your pace, and I'll explain anything that feels opaque about how the process works.
