
I am a therapist for anxious adults who are excellent at looking after everyone except themselves. If you can recite everyone else's schedule from memory but go blank when asked how you are, we should talk. I spent several years in administration before returning to clinical work, and the return confirmed what I had missed most: the actual people. Clients often tell me they waited years because they never felt anxious enough to qualify for help; you qualify. As a gay man, I offer a particular welcome to trans and gender-nonconforming clients, who deserve a therapist already fluent in their lives. I care about making the first conversation feel human rather than clinical, and every one after that too. Sessions with me feel like talking with someone who is fully on your side and unafraid to be honest. Some weeks are heavy and some are unexpectedly easy; both count. Reach out when it feels right, and if it never quite feels right, reach out anyway.
