
A first session with me feels less like an evaluation and more like finally setting down a heavy bag and looking through it with someone patient. Most people leave that first hour a little lighter than they arrived. I spent several years in administration before returning to the clinical work I missed, and I came back with sharper priorities. Much of my day is spent with adults trapped in overthinking, where simple choices become all-night debates. I also sit with people whose lives have gone joyless, where nothing is exactly wrong but nothing feels alive either. My approach is cognitive-behavioral, which means we look closely at how thoughts, habits, and feelings feed each other, and then we change the recipe. As a Black therapist, I know how much it can mean to be understood without preamble. I know opening up can feel unfamiliar at first, and there is no hurry here. I am bilingual, and sessions are available in English or Spanish. If any of this lands, quiet encouragement is waiting for you at an intro session.
