Many of my clients describe feeling lonely, feeling alone, or feeling isolated even when they're surrounded by people. Therapy can be one of the first places where being fully seen becomes possible, and that often loosens something on its own. I work with a lot of people in the middle of meaningful change. Whether you've recently had a baby, started a new job, or recently retired, those transitions often surface things that were quietly waiting in the background. For people who are recently widowed, or who are carrying a more recent loss, therapy can be a space where the grief gets to be exactly as big as it is. There's no timeline I'm going to impose on that. My work is rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My job is to help you see patterns you might be too close to notice, ask questions that haven't been asked, and walk alongside you while you do the harder parts.
