
A stubborn notion floats around that therapy is only for the moment life has fully fallen apart. In my experience the reverse is closer to true, and most people wait far too long before letting themselves sit with what is quietly not working. A lot of what clients raise with me is work-related, though it almost never stays parked at the desk. What you do all day shapes how you sleep, how you speak to the people you love, and how much of you is left by evening. We slow the whole thing down and ask what your days are demanding of you and whether the exchange still makes sense. Years in community and nonprofit settings trained me to see people as whole lives rather than case files. I am unhurried and think out loud alongside you, and I ask far more questions than I answer. If you have been circling the idea of talking to someone, this is a fine place to begin.
