
If this is your first time in therapy, or you've been considering therapy for a while and finally feel ready, I want you to know there's no right way to do this. We'll go at your pace, and I'll explain anything that feels opaque about how the process works. Sessions with me tend to balance structure and exploration. Some weeks we'll work on something concrete; other weeks we'll sit with what's surfacing and see what wants attention. Many of my clients arrive because they were referred by a professional or because a friend or family member recommended this work. However you got here, the next step is yours to set. Many of my clients describe feeling lonely, feeling alone, or feeling isolated even when they're surrounded by people. Therapy can be one of the first places where being fully seen becomes possible, and that often loosens something on its own.
