The clients who find me are usually the capable ones, the people everyone else leans on. By day they hold everything together; by night a racing mind picks every choice apart. Much of my work centers on intrusive thoughts, the kind that feel too shameful to say out loud and lose half their power once you finally do. Together we build a roadmap: name what the mind is doing, practice a different response, and take small steps toward what matters while the noise is still playing. The deeper goal is psychological flexibility, carrying difficult thoughts without letting them drive. I've noticed many of my clients have never said any of this to another person before, and I don't take that lightly. I trained in community mental health before private practice, so I've sat with every variety of hard day and very little rattles me. Progress tends to sneak up on people; one week you simply notice the dread didn't come. If your mind has been loud lately, I'd be glad to hear from you.
