
The one thing I want every new client to know is that you will not be talked out of anything here. Being told your worry is irrational has never once made it quieter, and I am not going to try that route. Instead we treat it as information. Something is being protected, usually something reasonable, and the protection has simply outgrown the thing it was built for. We find out what it is guarding, whether that guard is still needed, and what it costs you to keep paying for it around the clock. People are often relieved to find there is a logic in there at all. It makes the whole thing feel less like a personal defect. I worked in crisis services early on, which taught me to stay level when things get loud. That has never left me. Whatever state you arrive in, it will not be the most difficult hour of my week.
