
There's a myth that therapy means lying on a couch for years while someone nods. I'd rather we sit up and work the problem in front of us. I started out in crisis services, where staying steady while everything got loud became second nature. These days I see adults with ADHD who are done being the punchline of their own calendar. My training is cognitive-behavioral, so instead of endless digging we run small experiments you can test right away. We keep what works and drop the rest without ceremony. I also hold sessions in Korean for clients who are more at home in it. I know some guys need proof that this won't be an hour of psychobabble, so I talk like a person, not a textbook.
