People generally contact me when something ordinary becomes impossible. A route they have driven for years, a routine appointment, a particular kind of room, and suddenly the thing that was manageable last month cannot be done at all. That narrowing is usually what tips someone into treatment. PTSD tends to expand its territory slowly and then announce itself abruptly when one more accommodation becomes impractical. We start by mapping how much ground has been given up, which is nearly always more than the person realized, and then we reclaim it in an order that you set. My earlier working life was in a completely different field, and I still think in terms of ground gained and lost rather than in clinical abstractions. Territory is a useful way to see this. If something ordinary has become impossible, get in touch. Ground given up can be reclaimed in an order you choose.
