Can I admit something? Even therapists find it hard to book that first appointment. Asking for help means saying out loud that something might be wrong, and that takes more nerve than people give themselves credit for. Before private practice I worked in the nonprofit world, where I watched good people carry far too much while nobody asked how they were holding up. If you have been anxious in that low-grade, always-humming way, there is a lot we can do about it. The pressures of caring for everyone else usually land somewhere, and often that somewhere is you. My training is cognitive behavioral, though sessions feel more like focused conversation than technique. You will gather practical tools along the way and keep the ones that earn their place. I aim for the kind of ease that helps people say the true thing sooner. Clients tell me our sessions feel like being fully on the same team. That is the whole job, in my opinion. Whenever you are ready, I would be glad to meet you.
