After a long time doing this work, one lesson has outlasted all the others: people rarely arrive because they are weak, and almost always arrive because they have been strong for too long without any relief. Most of the adults I see are not falling apart in any dramatic way. They are getting through the week while everything that used to matter has gone flat and joyless, dinner, music, the people they love, all of it muffled behind glass. Together we look at what drained the color out and test small, repeatable things that let a bit of it back in. I am not a brisk, fix-it-in-three-steps kind of practitioner. I move at the speed of the person in front of me, and my whole practice has been built one quiet referral at a time by people who felt really met here. If any of this rings true for you, reach out and tell me a little about what has gone quiet.
