Someone is gone, and the world quietly expects you to be further along than you actually are. That gap between how you feel and how you are supposed to feel is usually what brings people to my door. The adults I sit with are moving through bereavement at their own speed, whether the death was sudden, long expected, or something complicated in between. We make space for the whole of it, including the parts nobody warns you about, like relief, anger, or a flat numbness that frightens you. My earliest work was in research, where people arrived as data points, until I admitted I wanted the person in the room far more than the numbers. I am easy to talk to and impossible to shock. You do not have to explain why it still hurts or apologize for how long it is taking. When you want to begin, send a message and we will find a time.
